Pretty Insights is a hosted service that puts website analytics, product analytics and earnings tracking in one platform. The vendor describes itself as an EU-based company that stores data on servers in the EU, but its terms of use still contain unfilled placeholders where the jurisdiction and business address belong.
Plans are priced by monthly pageviews or events. The pricing page pitches Starter at solopreneurs and side projects, with one user and up to 10 sites, and Professional at growing businesses and agencies, with two users, up to 20 sites, API access and custom events.
The tracker keeps a persistent visitor ID in local storage, so it does not match a strict reading of cookieless tracking; see what “cookieless” means here.
The installation guide says to add the site under Websites, copy the snippet from the Install Snippet tab and paste it before the closing head tag. On WordPress, it suggests a header code plugin such as Insert Headers and Footers.
The snippet printed in that guide does not match the code running on the vendor’s own site, which sets two variables, an account ID and a property ID, before loading the tracker file, and adds a second script for product events. The documentation does not describe this form.
The service is hosted only. API access and custom events are listed from the Professional plan.
As documented on the vendor’s own pages. “Partly” means the feature has limits or is only on some plans.
What the vendor documents. A platform that is not listed has no guide, plugin or package from the vendor.
Not by default, but it stores a persistent ID in the browser. The tracker sets a test cookie only when its server requests one, and it writes a persistent visitor ID to local storage and a session ID to session storage. The need for consent depends on the rules that apply to your site.
Not confirmed. The price table lists only paid plans with a free trial. The homepage FAQ says an expired trial moves to a free plan with unpublished limits, while the pricing FAQ says the card is charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.
In the EU, according to the vendor, which calls itself an EU-based company with servers in the European Union. It names neither the country nor the hosting provider, and its terms of use leave the jurisdiction and business address as placeholders.
Yes. The pricing FAQ says data can be exported at any time in formats such as CSV and JSON, on every plan including the free tier, and the homepage says data can also be deleted at any time without extra fees.
