How pricing works

Piwik PRO prices the Analytics Suite on two numbers: monthly actions and the count of root domains you add. An action is anything tracked or processed, which the vendor lists as page views, downloads, clicks to external sites, internal searches, custom events and goal conversions, together with tag manager container loads, consent form loads, line item uploads and API calls. Page scrolls and JavaScript errors are collected as custom events by default and can be switched off in the tracker settings. Heartbeat pings are capped for billing: beyond your page view count they are not charged. Consumption is shown in the platform under Administration, then Account, then Subscription.

The pricing page lists two plans.

• Business covers up to 2 million actions a month and up to 20 root domains, with all four modules: analytics, tag manager, customer data platform and consent management. Hosting is EU-operated in Sweden, retention is 25 months, support is by email, real-time reports look back 30 minutes, funnel and user flow reports go up to four steps, and each site can hold 50 custom reports and dashboards. Data activation is limited to 300 profiles a month. Scheduled reports, PDF exports and conversion attribution reporting are not included.
• Enterprise is quoted on request and billed annually, in three tiers named Data Fundamentals, Trusted Insights and Secure Intelligence. They raise the action ceiling, add a choice of data center in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United States or Hong Kong, retention that can run past 25 months, longer funnels and flows, single sign-on, and support targets of 48, 24 or 8 hours. A dedicated account manager comes with the two higher tiers, private cloud hosting only with the highest.

There is no free plan. The calculator on the Business plan page combines domains with actions, so the same volume costs more once you add domains; the table above shows the single-domain case. The trial runs 30 days and needs no card, but card details are required before it ends. An account that has not upgraded is deactivated with seven further days to decide, after which the account and its data are permanently deleted.

Going over the action or domain limits does not stop collection. Overage fees are calculated and invoiced at the end of the billing cycle, and frequent or large overages can move the subscription to a higher plan automatically. Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly by card and yearly only by bank transfer, renew automatically unless cancelled at least 30 days before the term ends, and rise by 4 percent on each subscription anniversary. A switch to another plan takes effect when the current billing period ends, not during it.
