Price by volume

How pricing works

DataFast bills by events, counted across every website connected to the account. The vendor defines an event as any data point the script sends, and names page views, payment events, free trial sign-ups and custom goals, all counted equally toward the monthly limit. A yearly subscription changes nothing about the measurement: usage is still read in monthly cycles.

Both plans use the same volume steps, shown in the table above.

  • Starter covers one website and one team member, and keeps data for three years.
  • Growth covers 30 websites and 30 team members, keeps data for five years or more, and adds social mentions on X and Reddit, plus attribution of X links, which traces traffic back to the posts it came from.

Each plan also carries an allowance of requests from AI assistants and crawlers, pooled across the account for the billing cycle, with further requests sold as an add-on.

Passing the limit does not interrupt tracking. The terms state that events are never discarded, throttled or stopped: you are emailed at 75 percent of the limit, and at 100 percent the dashboard locks while collection continues. To open it again you have to move to a plan that covers the usage already reached, and a plan with a lower limit than your actual usage cannot be chosen.

There is no free plan. The trial lasts 14 days, needs no card and takes no payment at sign-up. If no subscription starts when it ends, the dashboard locks, tracking stops, and the collected data is deleted seven days after the trial. Yearly billing is offered with two months free.

Questions and answers

Does each website have its own limit?

No. Events from every connected website are added into one total for the billing cycle, so a quiet site and a busy one share the same allowance. The number of websites is a separate limit set by the plan, and reaching it means moving to the larger plan rather than paying for extra volume.

What happens to the data if I cancel?

Tracking runs for 30 days after cancellation, then stops, and the collected data is deleted. The same rule applies when a trial ends without a subscription, with a shorter window of seven days.

Does the dashboard lock mean lost data?

No. The vendor states that collection carries on while the dashboard is locked and that nothing is dropped, so the reports fill in again as soon as the account moves to a plan that covers the usage. The lock applies to viewing, not to tracking.
