How pricing works

Fullstory publishes a figure for one plan only, the free one. Everything else is quoted after a demo, so the table above has a single row.

The unit is the session. A session begins when a visitor opens the site and ends after 30 minutes without activity, or after 24 hours of capture. In an app it also ends when the app is closed or spends 30 minutes in the background. Each plan holds a set number of sessions and of server events per cycle, and the subscription screen shows the quota, the amount used and the moment it resets.

Analytics has three plans. Business covers session replay, heatmaps, scroll and click maps, dashboards, funnels, page flow analysis, segmentation and integrations. Advanced adds retention analysis, journeys, conversion analysis, watched elements, metric and segment alerts, data export and AI summaries. Enterprise adds role based access control, SAML single sign-on and unlimited spaces. Guides and surveys and mobile analytics are add-ons on all three, multi-organization management on the largest plan. The warehouse and activation products, the employee experience product and professional services are quoted separately.

FullstoryFree needs no credit card, though it does need a business email domain. It carries a monthly session allowance, a smaller allowance of server-side events, ten user seats and a year of retention for replay and analytics. Dashboards, configurable form privacy, client-side rage hooks, mobile capture and the AI assistant sit on paid plans.

When the session quota runs out, capture pauses until the next cycle, and earlier sessions stay available. Administrators are warned by email and in the interface beforehand, once usage is projected to pass 95 percent of the allowance. An opt-in setting named Session Overages buys further blocks of sessions automatically, charged at the end of the cycle at a rate that differs from the contractual per-session one; it needs a card on file rather than an invoice. Extra server events are available on the largest plan only. Trials of premium features are occasional and arranged with sales.

Questions and answers

Why are there two retention periods?

Session replay retention covers the data needed to replay a session; product analytics retention covers the indexed data behind trends and historical analysis. A session can age out of replay while its events still feed the charts.

What does the free plan give up besides features?

Data rights. The vendor states that on the free plan it holds ownership rights to the anonymized, non-personal data collected and may use it for research and development, AI model training, product improvement, benchmarking and sharing with business partners; customers on paid plans keep full ownership. The Fullstory card lists what the product measures.
