How pricing works

Amplitude meters events. Any event it ingests and processes counts, on a calendar month that resets on the first. Identify and Group Identify calls do not count, and computed events are not counted twice. Hidden and backfilled events do count. Events you block or delete, and events from user or device IDs you ask Amplitude to filter out, never arrive and never count.

Every plan carries the whole platform and unlimited team members. What changes is volume, retention and the depth of each product.

  • Free is not a trial and has no end date. It needs no card and keeps one collaboration space, a year of data access, a capped number of saved charts and monthly quotas for session replay, agent sessions and feedback records.
  • Plus is the self-serve paid plan and needs a card. It adds custom events and formulas, behavioral cohorts capped per organization, alerts, heatmaps, two years of data access and three spaces, and its ceiling is written as both a tracked user and an event figure.
  • Growth is quoted on request. It adds conversion drivers, saved metrics, cart analysis, single sign-on with project permissions and unlimited data access.
  • Enterprise is also quoted on request and adds role based access control, advanced permissions with SCIM, data access controls and an assigned account manager.

Growth and Enterprise can add expanded packages for a single product, priced as a percentage of the platform plan.

Plus works pay as you go: usage above the included tracked users or events is charged at the same per unit rate as the plan. A guardrail assumes an average of one thousand events per tracked user, and volume beyond that ratio becomes extra tracked users at the same rate. Paid accounts receive email and in-product alerts at 80, 90, 100 and 110 percent of the limit. Monthly subscriptions renew on the first, annual ones every twelve months, and cancelling leaves access until the end of the paid period.

Questions and answers

What happens when a free account passes its allowance?

After a non-paying account exceeds its monthly limit three times, Amplitude blocks it: charts and dashboards become unavailable, while administrative functions such as the user API keep working for deletion requests. An account that stays over the limit without upgrading is deleted six months after the block.

Is there a trial of the paid plans?

The vendor answers that a free plan with no time limit replaces one. Qualifying early-stage startups can apply for a year of Growth at no cost, with a 30-day trial of Growth at the end of it. The Amplitude card lists what the platform measures.
