  • Identified two new emerging markets within the chemical/pharmaceutical industries: combinatorial chemistry and high throughput screening.
  • Identified and negotiated acquisition of technology and personnel.
  • Defined long range strategy, developed and launched two successful products. Completed development and product launch in half the time and, at a fraction of the cost of previous products of comparable complexity.

Vice President, Marketing

Responsible for worldwide marketing including: product planning and marketing, industry and channels marketing, corporate communications and professional services (1992-1994).

  • Successfully managed the transition of an international customer base from legacy mainframe software to a new generation of enterprise-wide client-server products. Supported platforms include Oracle, Windows, Macintosh, VAX and UNIX.
  • Established it as the leading chemical information management system in North America, Europe and Japan (1995 revenues: $30 million).
  • Forged more than 50 strategic alliances with other complementary vendors.
  • Member of a 5 person Executive team that led a successful $90 million IPO in 1993.
  • Initiated and implemented a comprehensive Internet strategy.
